In addition to CBD, the Hemp Infused Balm contains a few other ingredients that may help to target your symptoms more effectively.

Key Ingredients of the Hemp Infused Balm:

• Apricot Kernel Oil — When used topically, apricot kernel oil can reduce the appearance of acne, blemishes, fine lines, wrinkles, and moisturize your skin.

• Camphor — Camphor is an effective anti-inflammatory that can reduce the pain and stiffness of conditions like arthritis and can help heal burns faster.

• Shea Butter — Shea butter moisturizes your skin and fights dry, itchy spots.

• Sunflower Seed Oil — Sunflower seed oil is an anti-inflammatory that can reduce redness and encourage the production of new skin cells. It’s also high in vitamin E — which can shield your skin from the harmful effects of free radicals. Sunflower seed oil can fight acne and reduce signs of aging.

• Vitamin E — Vitamin E is an antioxidant that can protect your skin from free radicals. Free radicals are associated with cancers, heart disease, and other diseases. It’s useful for moisturizing the skin and reducing the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

CBD (or Cannabidiol) is a natural compound found abundantly in the hemp plant. Unlike THC, CBD has no psychoactive side effects and will not get you “high.” Instead, CBD works hand-in-hand with your body’s own endocannabinoid receptors to support overall wellness. More and more clinical research is opening our eyes to the benefits of CBD.
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is the largest collection of biological receptors in the human body. Endocannabinoid receptors are found on the surface of various cells throughout our nervous systems, immune systems, and organs. Various studies have shown that the ECS helps regulate biological processes like pain, inflammation, memory, energy metabolism and more. The main goal of the ECS is to help your body maintain homeostasis, or balance.
Sourced CBD from trusted suppliers who test each batch for residual solvents, heavy metals, pesticides, microbials, and cannabinoids. Additionally, Charlotte's Web sends each batch we manufacture to a third-party testing for yeast and mold, as well as CBD and THC levels, in order to ensure high-quality, legal products.

Hemp extract and cannabidiol (CBD) are different. To further explain, full-spectrum hemp extract is a concentrated form of the hemp plant and has all the components it had, in a concentrated form. CBD is one component of the hemp plant known as a phytocannabinoid. Our Charlotte's Web proprietary hemp is naturally high in CBD. 7 mg CBD per 1 mL oil contains at least 11 mg of hemp extract per mL. Of the 11 mg of full-spectrum hemp extract, you will receive at least 7 mg of CBD per serving.
Many people use these words interchangeably, but there is a difference. Balms are typically a bit firmer which you really notice when you dive your finger into a tin to begin an application. Salves, on the other hand, can feel like a midpoint between cream and balm. They’re often oil-based meaning softer than a balm, and if you dig your finger into a tin of salve, it would feel like a thick cream.
We’re not putting anything on your skin that we wouldn’t put on ours. Standard chemical emulsifiers, such as polyethylene glycols (or PEGs), are derived from petroleum and have been listed in the registry for toxic ingredients. In addition to being formulated without PEGs, our topicals are also: free of the 8 major allergens, not tested on animals, gluten-free, vegan (except for our balms, which contain beeswax), and formulated without synthetic fragrances, artificial colors or dyes, sulfates, GMOs, sodium acrylates copolymer, carbomer, shark-derived squalene, or betaine.
